About Cory Legendre
Cory Legendre is a legend in every world. Born November 23rd, 1992 into the family of Lois and Walter Legendre, in Augusta, Maine. He still resides to this day in his hometown of Richmond, Maine. Cory's upbringing inlcuded his young life which started with him "stealing the show" by singing and drawing attention at parties and such. Cory was never "afraid" of the spotlight, yet had a very shy personality through his early life.
Cory Legendre first went to school at a private Christian school, Chop Point, in Woolwich, ME, which he credits for part of his knowledge, yet not for his music career, as he had a talent far beyond the understanding of the music instruction there, which led him to seek other outlets and not take music courses there. Many events that had happened in his time at Chop Point led him to writing material for shows, as well as other events, based around the personalities of people that he knew from there. Since this, he has left Chop Point to self-educate, to make life easier for when he is on the road and hosting shows.
After a few years, Cory became older, obviously, and had jokingly said that music would be his future. After singing (and being in the right place at the right time) -- this joke, or well, dream came true. Cory stayed a very humble person through the signing of the papers that would start his ride into celebrity-stardom, and make him an artist of the future. His image was never changed based on what people wanted, at this point, he still stayed down to earth and caring about every one of his fans. This led to success of his first release, as he kept everyone posted, and it sold many copies.
This first major release, pinned "Cryin' Over Me" included five tracks, including 'We All Sleep Alone' and its dance remix, a mild dance version of 'All or Nothing' as well as a couple other hit cover songs. After the success with this album, Cory Legendre became a near household name, gracing CD collections everywhere, an yet he wanted to do more. So, he found his way into something that he had done for fun in the past and always wanted to do, and that was radio.
After a couple part time DJ jobs, Cory found his way to BlogTalkRadio and started "Cory Live's Open Talk." This show was one of the most fun interactive shows at the time on the station, achieving sky high ratings. So, leave it to Cory and a team of people to produce a more serious, yet still humorous, daytime show, "Cory Live's PowerShow," soon to be known just by the name "PowerShow." What happened by it, was two live test episodes, and then it just faded away.

With production of PowerShow ceased, Cory wanted to produce another show, and make another mark in the world, but wasn't exactly sure where to go with it. He considered turning his show into an interview-only format, but decided that would ruin his already successful ratings. So, with this idea put on the back-burner, he continued hosting his show, and listening to other shows that he had regular parts in. One night, he was listening to a show he subscribed to, "The Rock Report," and it had a fill in host that night, known as Leopardlady. She wanted to ask some pretty far-out-there questions, and the show's format didn't agree with that idea. So, Cory's back burner became red hot, and he ended up forming a deal to make the next biggest thing in entertainment & music interviews.
With nothin' to lose, Leopardlady (aka Heidi), set off to make this show happen. After a long brainstorming session, the true store of having "nothin' to lose" became the motto, and title of the show, and "NTL Rock Radio" was born. This challenge was to lead to be a truly larger than life radio show, where anything was acceptable and no question was too extreme to be asked to the bands that were interviewed. With Heidi's personal questions and one simple little signature question, this show became a shocker hit. Cory also acted as co-host for the initial first seasons of the show, until he took a break to produce other material, and bring his show back to the forefront.
He noticed his mom's radio talent while she happened to fill in on the Open Talk show during Cory's time off producing. He'd also remembered her saying how cool it would be if she could have her own show. yet another brainstorm, and her dream came true, and it was truly "Serious Business." This show, full title as "Serious Business...and not so serious" became another hit, talking about all subjects from the paranormal to healthcare, to just having fun and talking about whatever happened that week.
Since all of this, Cory's initial CD was put back out as a re-release, with an included bonus song, along side his "Highway to Hell" single, as released after he won a music event with that recording. His radio show took a change of staff and a change of name, and became "Cory Live's Radio Bedroom," which also became one of the most controversial, yet fun, internet radio shows ever. NTL Rock Radio also took a move to another station, and has became syndicated on multiple stations to increase regular listenership.
Cory also has been working on writing articles, and producing other projects, including TV format shows and it is rumored that even PowerShow will make a reutrn in the late summer of 2009. Who would have imagined that a small town boy like Cory would become an international celebrity who would be known for his singing, professional dance, radio, TV, authorship (articles and books), modeling and his newest venture as a photographer and artist. No one's done it all, and made it...until there was Cory Legendre, a true legend with a heart of gold.
Radio Bedroom has become the latest incarnation of the Cory Legendre radio franchise, first transitioning from "Cory Live's Open Talk" to "Cory Live's Radio Bedroom" and now to the "Radio Bedroom Lounge & Chat." After multiple co-hosts and multiple reinventions of the show, as of late 2009, the show has taken a near permanent break, yet there is still hope from the Cory Legendre fanclubs that the beloved show will return soon.
Early in 2010, Cory Legendre made another strange choice in life, becoming a member and spokesperson for Maine Ghost Hunters, strongly influenced due to his history with weird (paranormal) experiences and having dealt with issues of ghosts and the like. This turned into a radio deal where Cory Legendre was officially pinned as host and worked as the show producer for MGH Radio.
2010 for music is still an unknown yet sources say that Cory Legendre is drawing up ideas constantly for new projects and hopes to release a new album late in 2010 or early in 2011.
